Information for Parents

Gumburu staff are a small professional team that works with you and your children’s teachers to provide a spiritual, intellectual, emotional, physical and social experience for all that will assist in the development of a life-long caring stewardship of the Environment.

This objective is achieved by providing a range of hands-on learning experiences within our facilities and the surrounding UNESCO World Heritage Listed Wet Tropics Rainforest on the Paluma Range.

To make your Gumburu experience a stress-free time for you and your child, we’ve provided our Gumburu Information Booklet below. Some of the sections that might interest you include:

  • What Should I Pack?
  • Catering at Gumburu
  • Administration of Medication
  • Health and Safety
  • Role of Adult Helpers/Parent

For further information go to the content page Gumburu Information Booklet.

We look forward to welcoming your children to Gumburu!

Please note that there is no mobile telephone service available at Paluma.
